Shalin and his team help companies, colleges, non-profits, philanthropies, media outlets, and individuals with a variety of services including research and analysis; workshop design and facilitation; end-to-end strategy development and execution; tool development; community of practice and ecosystem building; grant program management; fundraising; landscape analyses; digital audience strategy; storytelling; advocacy; coaching; and change management. Highlighted Projects:

  • Alfred P. Sloan Foundation: Research and analysis to support a 10-year evaluation of the foundation’s grantmaking program focused on the energy, climate, and environment portfolio.

  • American Association for the Advancement of Science: Led follow-up to AAAS report, Connecting Scientists to Policy Around the World by overseeing the successful execution and development of a global database of engagement mechanisms to empower STEM professionals’ participation in the policy-making process at all levels of government.

  • Innovation Associates: Conducted research and analysis in innovation policy for Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland, and other private and public-sector organizations.

  • International Monetary Fund: Designed and facilitated a workshop to promote entrepreneurial thinking and “intrapreneurship” within the IMF community.

  • New America: Managed the delivery of a learning academy and policy implementation sprint process for a cohort of community colleges seeking workforce excellence.
